Our clinic has a comprehensive approach to the allergic patient. Adequate diagnosis requires a detailed medical and allergy history of the patient, a complete otolaryngological examination which in combination with endoscopic examination of the nasal pharynx and larynx, allows us to identify multifactorial diseases that coexist with the patient and burden him. scoliosis of the nasal septum, hypertrophy of the nasal passages, hypertrophy of the adenoids. Once all the factors are assessed, our treatment plan will be enriched with the necessary surgical rehabilitation of the above diseases.
Additional diagnostic tools for the identification of allergens are RAST tests through blood tests as well as skin allergy tests (Skin Prick Test), which take place in our office.
It is a painless and reliable process. The doctor places in the patient’s forearm at specific distances from each other, drops that contain the allergen in a controlled form. The skin is then imperceptibly scratched (extracted) through the extract. After about 20 minutes, the result is read. If there is an allergy to any of the allergens, a small local reaction (redness, blistering, itching) will occur on the skin, which subsides in a few hours without leaving any marks.

It is a very safe test. It does not limit the patient at all, who can return immediately to his daily routine without even affecting his ability to drive. The only requirement is to discontinue any antihistamine treatment for about 1 week before the test.
The treatment strategies we follow in our practice are individualized and can be applied as monotherapy or in combination with each other. Indicatively, the avoidance of allergens, drug therapy with local or systemic treatment or immunotherapy with subcutaneous or sublingual administration, the application of acupuncture are some of the therapeutic regimens that are determined together with our patients, always under our guidance and always taking into account all factors that will enhance the results of our treatment.
